About Our Company

Houston PaintIn 2005, company founder Bill Woods opened Three W Services, a professional, full-service painting company. However, Bill has been in the painting industry for over 14 years, collecting a wealth of knowledge along the way. A product of St. Pius X High School (Class of 1997), Bill began working at a major commercial paint company before and after high school. It was there that he learned the values of the commercial painting industry. Bill continued on to college and graduated from the University of Houston-Downtown in 2004.

Entrepreneurship had always been a passion of Bill's and as such, he has successfully implemented a dream into a reality. Since 2005, Bill Woods and his 5-year old company have not looked back.

Three W Services prides itself on customer service. We are maintenance-painting experts. Our maintenance program allows us to do regular inspections of properties, specify the best products, and keep records of all paints applied for future reference. This helps alleviate costly future problems and helps keep our customers’ property at its maximum appearance.

Three W Services also specializes in interior and exterior painting for residential and commercial properties as well as carpentry and pressure washing, among others. We service much of the Houston Heights and Museum District as well as the Greater Houston area and surrounding cities.

As a member of the U.S. Green Building Council, the National Alliance of Professional Painters, and the Houston Heights Association, Three W Services continues to grow with more residential and commercial projects under its belt. Bill Woods and Three W Services have a saying, “There's much more to a successful painting project than merely slapping paint on a wall.”

Things to Know When Selecting a Contractor

  • Pricing: In choosing the best price, make sure that you compare apples-to-apples. Compare written estimates (not verbal promises) regarding the amount of preparation, quality of materials, number of coasts, etc. The lowest price is seldom the best price.
  • Promptness: A contractor who keeps the appointment for an estimate is more likely to arrive promptly for the job and complete the project on time.
  • Communications: How a contractor responds to phone calls can be an indication of your ability to contact him after the work begins. If you must wait days for a return phone call, ask yourself it the same will occur after the job starts.
  • Insurance: Adequate insurance is important for your protection. Ask to see a Certificate of Insurance.
  • Warranty: A professional contractor will stand behind his work and will offer a written warranty. However, if the company goes out of business (or can’t be located), your warranty is useless. The stability of the company is as important as the warranty.
  • Written Proposal: A well written proposal will carefully describe what is included in the job. This allows both parties to clarify any omissions or misunderstandings. The proposal speaks volumes about the professionalism of the contractor.
  • References: Any contractor should be able to produce a list of good references. If possible, drive by recently completed jobs and take a peek at the quality of their work.
  • Consumer Awareness: No two jobs are exactly alike. A professional contractor will seek to learn what you need and/or desire. He will listen to your comments and questions, and make recommendations suited to your purposes.
  • Trust: A contactor may be at or in your home or property for a week or longer. Be certain that you feel comfortable with the individual(s).
